The Swan is the after school hot spot for many young residents of Berkhamsted who can be seen there every weekday during term-time. The Swan provides a wide range of structured activities throughout the year, but just as importantly it provides a safe space for young people to meet friends and relax. It is open to everyone between the ages of 11 and 18 from Berkhamsted and the surrounding area. There is no other place like it in Berkhamsted for young people.
The Swan Youth Centre wanted the features of a bespoke community website (www.swanyouthproject.co.uk) without a hefty price tag. Studio You developed a WordPress website with events calendar integration, an online donation system and Fundraising / campaigns integration. We provided team training to the volunteers at the centre and they look forward to updating their own content from now on.
